Seminar is one of our signature programs at CYC — a series of workshops that build students’ communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. These sessions are designed to help students reflect on who they are, sharpen how they think, and step into their leadership.
In just one hour, you can make an impact that lasts far beyond the session. As a Seminar Group Mentor, you’ll facilitate a small-group discussion with CYC’s ninth-grade Fellows. Each session includes a preselected topic and a simple activity, such as a worksheet or short presentation, that you’ll guide Fellows through.
These conversations help Fellows develop a strong sense of self, deepen their self-awareness, and build the skills to represent and advocate for themselves effectively. We're looking for 3 volunteers to kick off our September 29th session at CYC's Southwest campus and 7 volunteers for the October 12th session at CYC's East Campus!
