Carolina Youth Coalition (CYC) empowers high-achieving, under-resourced students to succeed in college. Founded in 2018, CYC offers academic, social, and leadership support, helping students navigate the barriers that low-income families face in higher education. Their goal is to increase college graduation rates for first-generation and low-income students, fostering lasting generational change. CYC Fellows receive personalized resources and mentorship, ensuring they have the same opportunities as their more resourced peers.

Freedom Communities is dedicated to family-centered community transformation, primarily
focused on West Charlotte's Freedom Drive Corridor. Their mission is to disrupt the cycle of
intergenerational poverty by providing holistic support to families. They simultaneously invest in
both people and infrastructure, helping to foster upward mobility and long-term economic
stability. By acting as a "connective tissue" in the community, Freedom Communities equips
families with the tools needed to thrive and drive lasting change in their neighborhoods.

Wayfinders empowers underserved, high-potential students by offering transformative summer
camp experiences, year-round enrichment programs, and mentoring relationships. Their
mission is to help students grow in confidence, broaden their horizons, and build meaningful

receive guidance throughout the year.
